It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the opportunity.

In the end, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy being given a platform to create her latest masterpiece.

Originally famous as the teenage relative of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her nation couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 championship-filled years since.

"But once you step out on the field, your competitive nature take over and you just lock into the match."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from that point the right-hander was underway.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this triumph following victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.
